Epicor ERP Implementation Case Study

Business situation

The client had recently purchased Epicor version 9.5 enterprise resource planning software and an implementation package to use at its U.S. headquarters and five overseas subsidiaries. In negotiations with the software provider, the Epicor implementation team would also be responsible for the project and a specific time line for completion. However, the manufacturer felt the Epicor consultants lacked the industry experience to successfully integrate all modules of the system. By partnering with Robert Half Management Resources, the client was presented with a team of consultants with both the Epicor implementation skills and specific industry experience.

Project scope

RHMR provided a team of four project professionals with a variety of system implementation skills, including project management, manufacturing work flows, information technology programming and accounting processes, to assist the CFO with the following:

  • Design a project plan to systematically install the various modules
  • Review current business processes and provide suggestions for improvement
  • Perform post implementation testing and provide end-user training

Client's return on investment

The client found the implementation was more focused to their industry and company-specific needs due to the experience of the Robert Half Management Resources consultants. The client estimates the implementation time line was reduced by six months, resulting in project savings in excess of $600,000.
