You will be responsible for handling probate and trust administration, estate planning, and dealing with taxation and trust accounting issues.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Location: </strong>Medfield, MA 02052</p><p><strong>Role: </strong>Trusts & Estates Associate Attorney</p><p><strong>Comp Package: </strong>$125,000 - $165,000 (DOE) </p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Draft, review, and interpret legal documents, including trust agreements, appointments, amendments, and resignations.</li><li>Manage the preparation of probate inventories, court filings, and probate accountings.</li><li>Prepare summaries and accountings for trust beneficiaries.</li><li>Communicate with trust and estate beneficiaries regarding distribution matters.</li><li>Assist in the administration of trusts at various stages of the process.</li><li>Draft a variety of estate planning documents using WealthDocx software.</li><li>Meet with clients in the TrustSupport™ program to review, update, and enhance their estate plans.</li><li>Prepare gift tax and estate tax returns.</li><li>Support tax professionals in preparing fiduciary income tax returns.</li><li>Assist with asset retitling, identifying relevant provisions, and executing principal payments.</li><li>Oversee the management of real estate properties owned by estates or trusts.</li><li>Collaborate with client advisors, including financial planners, accountants, and other attorneys.</li><li>Supervise and delegate tasks to paralegals and legal assistants as needed.</li><li>Meet the annual billable hour requirement of 1,500 hours.</li></ul>
