  • <p>We have a higher education client seeking an accomplished financial leader to serve as Associate Vice President (AVP) for Resource Management. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the AVP provides both strategic vision and operational oversight for the University’s financial management functions. This executive role ensures the efficient, transparent, and compliant stewardship of institutional resources, aligning financial systems and policies with organization's mission and strategic priorities. <strong>The position is an immediate interim "contract" to permanent engagement. Apply ASAP!</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Provide executive leadership for Accounting, Bursar, and Fixed Assets, ensuring accuracy and integrity of all financial transactions and records.</li><li>Direct preparation of annual financial statements, reconciliations, and reports in accordance with GAAP, GASB, and relevant regulatory standards.</li><li>Develop, implement, and monitor financial policies and internal controls to ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations.</li><li>Partner with the Budget Office to align resource allocation, expenditure monitoring, and financial reporting with institutional objectives.</li><li>Lead modernization initiatives for financial systems, leveraging technology to improve workflow efficiency and data quality.</li><li>Collaborate with student financial services to support timely, compliant management of student accounts and tuition revenue.</li><li>Oversee fixed asset management, including proper capitalization, depreciation, and audit compliance.</li><li>Coordinate external audit preparation and resolution of audit findings, working cross-functionally with internal teams and auditors.</li><li>Analyze financial data and trends to advise executive leadership and support long-term fiscal planning.</li><li>Mentor and develop finance team members, fostering a culture of performance and professional growth.</li><li>Represent the Finance Division in university-wide committees, projects, and cross-functional initiatives.</li></ul>
