Accounting Manager Katie Weigel with Robert Half Finance and Accounting is recruiting to fill an Accounting Manager for a mid-size commercial construction company in Reno. This position will serve as the right hand to the Controller/CFO and have opportunity to grow with the company. Day to day responsibilities include:• Assisting in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. • Assisting with the closing procedures at the end of each month. Preparing adjusting journal entries for the CFO to review.• Recording transactions and preparing reconciliations for balance sheet accounts in the general ledger.• Reconcile bank accounts daily to maintain a live cash balance and match statements with reconciliation reports monthly.• Accounts payable/receivable management. Oversee processing and post invoices and draw requests. Holding team accountable.• Building and posting monthly projection batches for Project Managers. Ensure communication with PM's to receive necessary documentation, and in a timely fashion.• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to analyze project performance and budgets. • Educate accounting staff, project managers, and other team members on products/software that support the accounting software.• Compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).To be considered for the role candidates should have:• Education: Bachelor’s degree or equal in Accounting or Finance.• Experience: 7+ years of experience in accounting operations, financial analysis, and financial reporting.• Advanced proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.• Strong verbal and written communication skills.• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.The company offers a good benefits package including 3 weeks of vacation, competitive base compensation and bonus and 401 match.
