Systems Engineer II <p>We are offering a contract with potential for hire for a Systems Engineer II position in Las Vegas, Nevada. This role is centered around ensuring the smooth operation of enterprise technology systems that are crucial to business operations. As a Systems Engineer, you will be leading system configuration efforts, creating efficient processes and procedures for the continued management of the server environment. </p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Oversee the functions of Web servers, ensuring logs and metrics data are stable and reliable.</p><p>• Handle the management of enterprise directory services and the supporting server infrastructure.</p><p>• Develop and implement strategies for integrating varied operating environments.</p><p>• Propose and execute modifications to enhance server efficiency, reliability, and performance.</p><p>• Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues across servers, Active Directory, VMware, network connections, and end-user systems using internal ticketing systems.</p><p>• Maintain detailed records of system configurations, processes, and service records.</p><p>• Ensure the interoperability and compliance of enterprise computing systems.</p><p>• Plan and implement server upgrades, maintenance fixes, and patches.</p><p>• Perform server and security audits, system backups, and recovery processes in alignment with disaster recovery and business continuity plans.</p><p>• Respond promptly to emergency system outages as required by continuity plans.</p><p>• Monitor system performance and capacity, providing regular reports and insights.</p><p>• Follow established Incident, Problem, and Change management procedures.</p><p>• Collaborate with vendors, peers, and contractors to deliver secure and reliable system upgrades and implementations.</p><p>• Maintain on-call availability on a rotational basis and provide consistent attendance.</p>
