  • We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Loan Processor to join our team in Las Cruces, New Mexico. As part of a non-profit organization, this Contract-to-permanent position offers the opportunity to help individuals achieve their homeownership goals while ensuring compliance with industry standards. The role involves evaluating and processing loan applications, coordinating educational programs, and underwriting loans for housing initiatives.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Collaborate with the Homeownership Center director to oversee loan processing activities.<br>• Organize and manage the Homebuyer education program to support informed decision-making.<br>• Identify and work with buyers who have experience in the Housing Program.<br>• Build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and business partners to facilitate smooth operations.<br>• Process high volumes of loan applications while providing guidance to homebuyers throughout the transaction process.<br>• Conduct underwriting for loans to be submitted to Neighborhood Housing Services of America.<br>• Maintain an up-to-date waiting list of housing loan applicants to ensure timely processing.<br>• Review loan applications and documentation to confirm credit worthiness and eligibility.<br>• Facilitate loan closings by coordinating with escrow companies, lenders, and clients.<br>• Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, including Anti-Money Laundering and Bank Secrecy Act guidelines.
