Contact me today to learn more about this opportunity to make an impact as a Finance Director in Franklin, NC.</p> Sr. Accountant Our client, located in the heart of downtown Knoxville, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Accountant to join their team. This role is a terrific opportunity for a skilled accounting detail oriented with expertise in financial accounting, reconciliations, and general ledger management to make a meaningful impact on a dynamic organization. <br> Key Responsibilities Manage and perform general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance across all accounts. Prepare and post journal entries as part of the month-end and year-end closing processes. Oversee and ensure the accuracy of financial accounting related to Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). Work extensively within the Deltek Vantagepoint system to manage and maintain financial data. Conduct analysis to assist in financial reporting and improve overall operational efficiency. Utilize intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) to manage data, create reports, and support financial decision-making processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification is preferred but not required. Minimum of 4-5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a mid-to-large-sized organization. Proficiency with Deltek Vantagepoint or similar ERP systems is highly desirable. Strong understanding of financial processes, AP/AR management, and reconciliation procedures. Intermediate-level skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
