We are looking for an experienced Accessibility Designer to join our team in Houston, Texas. This is a long-term contract position that focuses on creating accessible content and designs across digital and print platforms. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in accessibility standards and tools to ensure content is inclusive and user-friendly for diverse audiences.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Develop and implement strategies to ensure content meets accessibility standards, including compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).<br>• Create and refine designs using tools such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop to enhance accessibility.<br>• Collaborate with various departments to identify and address accessibility needs across digital and print materials.<br>• Apply accessibility features to PDFs and other documents to accommodate users with visual impairments, including color blindness.<br>• Utilize UI/UX design principles to optimize user experiences for accessible platforms.<br>• Conduct group interviews and collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment with accessibility goals.<br>• Train and support teams on accessibility tools and practices to drive consistent implementation.<br>• Monitor and evaluate existing materials to identify areas for improvement in accessibility.<br>• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and standards related to digital and content accessibility.<br>• Prepare reports and documentation to track progress on accessibility initiatives.
