Assistant Controller<p>Robert Half is partnering with a software company in Golden on an Assistant Controller opening. The <strong>Assistant Controller</strong> will play a critical role in supporting the Controller in managing financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in payroll processing and a solid understanding of accounting principles, preferably within a technology-driven environment. This role is pivotal to our operations, with a focus on overseeing payroll and benefits operations. The successful candidate will bring expertise to drive operational excellence, compliance, and process improvements while ensuring high service standards.<br><br>Responsibilities<br>• Accurately and efficiently process payroll for approximately 450 employees across multiple states, using systems such as ADP Workforce Now and Ceridian Dayforce.<br>• Administer benefits programs, including health, retirement, internal dental benefits, and other fringe benefits, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.<br>• Assist with merger and acquisition activity by managing payroll transitions and setups for newly acquired practices.<br>• Manage annual payroll and benefits processes and/or reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance.<br>• Administer Paid Time Off (PTO), sick time, and other leave processes, maintaining accurate records.<br>• Ensure compliance with payroll laws and best practices, staying updated on legal changes.<br>• Deliver excellent customer service, resolving payroll and benefits issues promptly and effectively.<br>• Assist in training staff on payroll procedures and support Human Resources with benefits-related items.<br>• Use accounting software systems to maintain accurate records and perform auditing tasks.<br>• Coordinate benefits administration, ensuring effective compensation and benefits management.
