  • <p>We are seeking a UX Designer to join our product team on a contract basis. This hybrid role is based in Charlotte, NC and will require regular in-person collaboration with design and engineering teams. The ideal candidate is an expert in Figma, highly collaborative, and experienced in delivering intuitive, high-impact UX for web and product experiences, particularly in automotive and e-commerce domains.</p><p><br></p><p>This role will work within a tight-knit design team, directly bridging to front-end development, ensuring pixel-perfect execution of design intent and preparing production-ready assets. You’ll play a critical role in shaping user experiences that are elegant, functional, and performant across platforms.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, and Marketing to define and implement innovative UX solutions</li><li>Use Figma as your primary design tool for wireframes, high-fidelity comps, design systems, and interactive prototypes</li><li>Work closely with front-end developers to ensure design feasibility and fidelity during implementation</li><li>Prepare and deliver comprehensive design specifications and assets to engineering teams</li><li>Participate in regular design reviews, sprint planning, and engineering hand-offs</li><li>Advocate for user-centered design principles and conduct user research or usability testing when needed</li><li>Contribute to and help maintain our design system and UX documentation</li><li>Bring product ideas to life through rapid prototyping and iteration</li><li>Balance strategic thinking with detailed design execution across mobile and desktop platforms</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>5+ years of experience in UX design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design thinking and execution across web and product platforms</li><li>Extensive Figma expertise: components, variants, auto-layout, prototyping, and developer handoff features (absolutely essential)</li><li>Proven experience working within a design team and collaborating seamlessly with engineering teams</li><li>Experience working hand-in-hand with front-end developers and understanding the constraints and possibilities of modern front-end frameworks</li><li>Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility (WCAG), and performance implications of design choices</li><li>Expertise in user flows, information architecture, interaction design, and visual hierarchy</li><li>Familiarity with tools like FigJam, Jira, Confluence, and Figma’s Dev Mode</li><li>Experience in e-commerce and/or the automotive industry is a big plus</li><li>Strong communication skills, self-motivation, and attention to detail</li><li>Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or equivalent experience</li></ul>
