If so, we want YOU to join our team as a Material Specialist!</p><p><br></p><p><strong>What You’ll Do:</strong></p><p>As a Material Specialist, you'll be at the heart of our production operations, ensuring materials flow efficiently and schedules are met. Your key responsibilities include:</p><ul><li><strong>Production & Service Part Scheduling:</strong> Plan and schedule simple production and service parts with minimal constraints, ensuring alignment with the Deere Production System (kanbans/triggers).</li><li><strong>Material Coordination: </strong>Schedule requirements for materials and expedite both production and purchased parts. Work with other John Deere departments as needed to secure required components.</li><li><strong>Process Oversight:</strong> Coordinate and communicate the implementation of engineering and material changes while assisting production with manpower planning and administrative duties.</li><li><strong>Inventory Accuracy: </strong>Support the department by ensuring inventory integrity and accuracy—including production reporting, scrap reporting, and general material flow functions.</li><li><strong>Continuous Improvement: </strong>Assist with line sequencing of options and provide work direction to team members as necessary.</li></ul><p>In this high-impact role, you’ll spend 50% of your time on the shop floor, gaining hands-on experience and collaborating closely with production teams.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>What We Offer:</strong></p><ul><li>First-Shift Opportunity: Hours are 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with the potential for overtime.</li><li>Flexibility: Overtime may include extended weekday hours or weekend shifts, and candidates should be willing to work off-shift hours as needed.</li><li>Forward-Thinking Environment: This position combines 50% shop floor involvement with office-based responsibilities, giving you a diverse and engaging day-to-day experience.</li><li>Professional Development: As your career develops, our free online training and expertise will help you stay on top of your skills, keep your profile current, and offer insights along the way.</li></ul><p>Connect with our team today by calling (563) 359-3995!</p>
