The person in this role will guide teams responsible for insurance verification, authorizations, referrals, and intake while helping create efficient, compliant workflows that support long-term financial performance. Responsibilities: • Direct daily operations related to financial clearance, benefits verification, and patient access activities to support accurate reimbursement and timely care delivery. • Oversee authorization and utilization review coordination to help ensure services are approved appropriately and claims issues are minimized before treatment begins. • Lead referral and intake workflows, ensuring information is captured correctly and routed efficiently to support a smooth onboarding experience. • Monitor data accuracy across revenue cycle processes and partner with operational teams to address documentation gaps that could affect billing or collections. • Manage and develop supervisory staff, including leadership support for financial counseling functions, with a focus on accountability, coaching, and performance improvement. • Evaluate existing procedures and implement workflow enhancements that increase productivity, reduce denials, and improve the patient financial experience. • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve complex payer, coverage, and regulatory questions involving Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial insurance plans. • Support revenue cycle initiatives by using reporting, payer tools, and practice management or EMR systems to identify trends and improve operational outcomes.
