Apply today!</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Duration:</strong> 6 month contract</p><p><strong>Schedule</strong>: PST Core Hours, flexible </p><p><strong>Location:</strong> 100% Remote </p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities: </strong></p><ul><li>Develop secure, scalable, and maintainable backend applications using <strong>Python</strong>.</li><li>Design, build, and maintain <strong>microservices, RESTful APIs, and cloud-native applications</strong>.</li><li>Develop reusable solutions, shared libraries, and engineering standards that improve team productivity.</li><li>Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development and quality standards.</li><li>Implement unit, integration, and performance testing to support production-ready solutions.</li><li>Configure and maintain <strong>CI/CD pipelines</strong> and development automation.</li><li>Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.</li><li>Partner with Product Owners, Business Analysts, architects, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.</li><li>Participate in and lead technical design discussions, architecture reviews, and engineering initiatives.</li><li>Apply best practices for <strong>scalability, security, performance, observability, disaster recovery, and capacity planning</strong>.</li><li>Communicate technical decisions and tradeoffs effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.</li><li>Mentor and provide technical guidance to other engineers through pairing, coaching, and knowledge sharing.</li><li>Leverage <strong>AI-assisted development tools and integrated AI agents</strong> to improve developer velocity, code quality, automation, and engineering outcomes.</li><li>Evaluate emerging technologies and help introduce tools and practices that improve software delivery.</li></ul>
