<p>We are looking for a detail-oriented Assistant Controller to join our client's team in Montgomery, Alabama. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical abilities and a solid understanding of accounting principles, who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced office environment. As this is a Contract-to-Permanent position, it offers the opportunity to transition into a long-term role based on performance.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Review, allocate, and record accounts payable and receivable transactions to ensure accuracy.</p><p>• Document and refine business processes and accounting policies to enhance internal controls.</p><p>• Collaborate in setting financial standards and contribute to forecasting activities.</p><p>• Provide valuable input during departmental goal-setting initiatives.</p><p>• Identify and resolve accounting issues, offering actionable recommendations for improvement.</p><p>• Partner with fellow accountants and the Controller to manage various accounting tasks.</p><p>• Oversee and support all accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable/payable, general ledger, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition.</p><p>• Coordinate budget preparation, financial forecasting, and variance reporting processes.</p><p>• Assist in generating timely monthly financial statements and regulatory reports.</p>
