Payroll Administrator
<p>We are looking for a Payroll Administrator to join a team in California. This role is ideal for a payroll specialist who can manage high-volume processing with accuracy, interpret payroll data confidently, and work independently while following established guidance. The successful candidate will bring strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of payroll compliance, and the ability to support timely and precise payroll operations for a large employee population.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Process full-cycle payroll for a workforce of approximately 300 to 500 employees while ensuring timely and accurate pay distribution.</p><p>• Review payroll registers, earnings data, hours worked, tax withholdings, and related records to verify completeness and resolve discrepancies before finalization.</p><p>• Administer wage garnishments and other payroll deductions in accordance with applicable requirements and internal procedures.</p><p>• Audit payroll transactions and supporting documentation to maintain accuracy across employee pay records and payroll reporting.</p><p>• Interpret W-4 forms and employee payroll information to ensure proper setup and ongoing maintenance of withholding details.</p><p>• Use payroll systems, including ADP Workforce Now when applicable, to enter, validate, and maintain payroll data.</p><p>• Partner with internal stakeholders to address payroll questions, investigate variances, and support issue resolution in a timely manner.</p><p>• Maintain organized payroll documentation and contribute to consistent payroll operations through careful recordkeeping and adherence to established processes.</p>
• Demonstrated experience processing full-cycle payroll for 300 to 500 employees.<br>• Strong hands-on background in payroll administration, including garnishments, audits, and payroll register review.<br>• Working knowledge of payroll components such as hours, earnings, gross pay, deductions, and tax withholding information.<br>• Experience with ADP payroll systems; familiarity with Workforce Now is preferred.<br>• HR certification, a recognized payroll-related certification, or a degree in Human Resources is required.<br>• Eight years of direct payroll experience may be accepted in place of a degree or certification.<br>• High level of accuracy, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.<br>• Ability to take direction, stay organized, and manage payroll responsibilities in a dependable and proactive manner.
