<p>Job Description: Accountant (Contract – Financial Analysis Focus)</p><p>Location: South San Francisco, CA</p><p>Duration: 6 Months (Full-time, Onsite)</p><p><br></p><p>Our client in South San Francisco is seeking a skilled contract Accountant with strong financial analysis capabilities to join their team for a 6-month assignment. This role requires onsite presence daily and offers the opportunity to make an immediate impact on financial operations.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Perform day-to-day accounting duties, including journal entries, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, reconciliations, and month-end close activities</li><li>Conduct financial analysis to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making for budgets</li><li>Prepare and review financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal controls</li><li>Analyze data for trends, variances, and anomalies to provide insights to management</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams on accounting and finance projects</li><li>Maintain and update accounting records and supporting documentation</li><li>Assist with process improvements and implementation of accounting best practices</li></ul><p><br></p>

<p>Requirements:</p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field</li><li>3+ years of accounting experience with strong financial analysis skills</li><li>Expertise in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis)</li><li>Experience with Eden or Tyler Munis accounting systems is a plus</li><li>Proven ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Commitment to full onsite work; remote or hybrid options are not available</li></ul><p>Preferred:</p><ul><li>Strong analytical and critical thinking skills</li><li>Excellent communication and organizational abilities</li><li>Contract or temporary project experience</li></ul><p>This is a contract position offering exposure to diverse accounting and financial functions within a collaborative team environment.
