Collections Specialist
We are looking for a skilled Collections Specialist to join our team in San Jose, California, on a contract basis. In this role, you will manage and oversee collection processes for commercial and consumer accounts, ensuring timely payments and resolving outstanding balances. Your expertise in credit and billing collections will be essential in maintaining financial accuracy and customer satisfaction.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Monitor and manage commercial and consumer account collections to ensure timely payments.<br>• Communicate with clients regarding overdue balances, providing clear explanations and resolving disputes.<br>• Collaborate with internal teams to address billing discrepancies and implement corrective actions.<br>• Maintain accurate records of collection activities, payments, and account statuses.<br>• Analyze account trends and provide recommendations to improve collection processes.<br>• Prepare regular reports detailing collection progress and outstanding balances.<br>• Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations during collection activities.<br>• Negotiate payment plans with customers to facilitate debt resolution.<br>• Identify opportunities to streamline credit and billing collection workflows.<br>• Support the implementation of best practices for improving collection efficiency.
• Proven experience in commercial and consumer collections.<br>• Strong knowledge of credit and billing collection processes.<br>• Excellent communication skills to handle sensitive conversations with clients.<br>• Ability to analyze financial data and identify trends.<br>• Proficiency in maintaining organized and accurate records.<br>• Familiarity with legal regulations related to collections.<br>• Adept at negotiation and conflict resolution.<br>• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
