We are looking for a dedicated Paralegal to join our team in San Diego, California. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting attorneys and managing cases with a focus on plaintiff-side litigation, particularly involving sensitive matters of childhood sexual abuse. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful work while collaborating within a supportive and dynamic environment. Responsibilities:• Manage a caseload of 60-70 cases, with a mix of single plaintiff cases and coordinated cases.• Draft and file legal documents, including discovery, motions, deposition notices, and subpoenas.• Coordinate litigation schedules and deadlines (knowing discovery deadlines is a must!).• Format and electronically file legal documents across state, federal, and appellate courts.• Prepare for trial, including organizing materials and assisting attorneys during proceedings.• Train and mentor paralegals, fostering growth and ensuring adherence to best practices.• Act as a liaison between attorneys and paralegals to address workflow challenges and performance issues. <ul><li> 3+ years of civil litigation experience in CA</li><li> Willingness to work on childhood sexual abuse cases, caring for clients compassionately</li><li> Plaintiff side litigation experience</li><li> Trial experience - preparing for, and ideally, going to</li><li> Training/supervising experience is preferred</li><li> Knowledge of court filing, calendaring, and formatting legal documents </li><li> Ability to commute to Del Mar 4-5x/week</li><li> Ability to start in November or December! </li></ul>Ready to meaningfully contribute to a high-performing team?
