We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team in Sacramento, California. In this contract position, you will handle various payroll functions with a focus on accuracy and compliance. This role requires expertise in full-cycle payroll processes and managing multi-state payroll for a large workforce. Responsibilities:• Process full-cycle payroll accurately and on schedule.• Manage multi-state payroll for over 500 employees, ensuring compliance with regulations.• Utilize Paylocity to execute payroll operations efficiently.• Handle accounts payable tasks, including coding and processing approved invoices.• Coordinate biweekly payroll processing using Paylocity.• Maintain detailed records and ensure payroll data integrity.• Address and resolve payroll discrepancies promptly.• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline payroll and accounts payable workflows.• Ensure compliance with all applicable payroll laws and company policies.• Provide support during audits and assist in generating payroll reports.

• At least 1 year of experience in payroll processing. • Proficiency in full-cycle payroll and multi-state payroll management. • Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now and Paylocity. • Familiarity with managing payroll for large organizations (500+ employees). • Knowledge of accounts payable processes, including coding and approving invoices. • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
