<p>We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join a dynamic team in Richardson, Texas, on a contract basis. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing accounting operations, streamlining processes, and ensuring compliance during year-end close and audit preparation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.</p><p>This is a 2+ month contract position due to a resignation.</p><p>100% ONSITE: 5 days a week in the office in Richardson, TX 75082.</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Senior Accountant (contract position):</u></strong></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Prepare and record consolidated journal entries to support monthly financial close processes.</p><p>• Perform thorough balance sheet reconciliations and analyze variances to ensure accuracy.</p><p>• Investigate and resolve historical accounting discrepancies and cleanup tasks.</p><p>• Maintain and review schedules for prepaid expenses, accruals, cash applications, and fixed assets.</p><p>• Ensure audit readiness by verifying documentation accuracy and completeness.</p><p>• Implement improvements to enhance the efficiency of the monthly close cycle.</p><p>• Support system upgrades and automation projects to optimize accounting workflows.</p><p>• Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to align accounting practices with operational goals.</p><p>• Provide detailed financial analysis to support multi-location operations and reporting needs.</p>

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.<br>• At least 4 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally combining public and corporate roles.<br>• Comprehensive understanding of full-cycle accounting, including reconciliations and month-end close.<br>• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and lookups.<br>• Familiarity with large enterprise systems such as Dynamics 365 or similar platforms.<br>• Experience with consolidation tools like OneStream or BlackLine is a strong advantage.<br>• Strong analytical skills and ability to identify and resolve complex accounting issues.<br>• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a collaborative attitude.
