<p><strong>About the Role</strong></p><p>We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer I who brings deep full-stack development expertise, strong architectural instincts, and a passion for building scalable, secure, high-performance applications. This role will drive the technical direction of major product initiatives while collaborating across engineering, security, product, and infrastructure teams.</p><p>You will own the design and development of modern web applications and backend services, contribute to system architecture, mentor engineers, and ensure our platforms meet rigorous standards for reliability, compliance, and performance.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p>• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of full-stack applications using modern frontend and backend technologies.</p><p> • Architect and implement backend services, APIs, and integrations with internal and external systems.</p><p> • Build and enhance frontend experiences using modern JavaScript frameworks.</p><p> • Work closely with infrastructure teams on cloud deployments, virtualization, and platform scalability.</p><p> • Apply strong security, compliance, and data-protection practices across all layers of the application stack.</p><p> • Conduct system design reviews, performance assessments, and code quality evaluations.</p><p> • Mentor engineers and contribute to best practices in testing, CI/CD, and automation.</p><p> • Collaborate with product, operations, and business stakeholders to deliver high-impact solutions.</p><p> • Produce clear architectural documentation, technical specifications, and operational guides.</p><p><br></p>

<p><br></p><p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p><p>• Eight or more years of professional software engineering experience, including recent full-stack development.</p><p> • Expertise with JavaScript or TypeScript, including Node.js or a similar backend runtime.</p><p> • Strong proficiency with relational databases such as MySQL, Postgres, MariaDB, or equivalent.</p><p> • Experience building production-grade frontends using frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.</p><p> • Hands-on experience deploying and supporting applications in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).</p><p> • Familiarity with virtualization, containerization, or hybrid infrastructure environments.</p><p> • Strong understanding of application security, authentication, authorization, and data-protection practices.</p><p> • Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives, influence architecture, and mentor other engineers.</p><p> • Excellent communication skills, especially when presenting technical information.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><p>• Experience working in regulated industries such as finance, healthcare, or government.</p><p> • Background in high-availability or real-time transaction systems.</p><p> • Experience with monitoring, logging, auditing, or compliance-enabled tooling.</p><p> • Familiarity with microservices, distributed systems, or event-driven architectures.</p><p> • Experience with infrastructure as code, CI/CD automation, and container orchestration.</p>
