We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Overland Park, Kansas. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent organizational skills and a strong ability to process invoices efficiently. Responsibilities: • Process and verify invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies. • Manage purchase orders and match them with corresponding invoices. • Perform coding of invoices to the correct accounts in the general ledger. • Conduct regular check runs and ensure timely payments to vendors. • Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies or missing documentation. • Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions. • Collaborate with the finance team to improve payment workflows and resolve issues. • Ensure adherence to financial controls and procedures during invoice processing. • Assist in preparing reports related to accounts payable activities. • Stay updated on industry best practices and contribute to process improvements.

• Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar role. • Proficiency in coding invoices and working with purchase orders. • Familiarity with check runs and invoice processing. • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks. • Excellent communication skills for vendor and team interactions. • Ability to work independently and demonstrate a proactive mindset. • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial procedures. • Proficiency in using accounting software and other related technologies.
