HR Generalist
<p>We are looking for a dedicated HR Generalist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in New Rochelle, New York. This position focuses on supporting a variety of human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, and personnel file management. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail oriented, and skilled at fostering positive relationships with staff.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Develop and implement checklists for personnel file contents to ensure compliance and organization.</p><p>• Create comprehensive onboarding checklists, including drafting offer letters and coordinating orientations.</p><p>• Manage recruitment activities, including job postings, scheduling interviews, and conducting candidate searches.</p><p>• Prepare and submit required paperwork to Civil Service and for background checks.</p><p>• Assist staff with various organizational paperwork and processes to ensure smooth operations.</p><p>• Draft and distribute annual rate of pay letters to maintain compliance with organizational standards.</p><p>• Collaborate with team members to provide guidance and support on HR-related matters.</p><p>• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in compliance with applicable regulations.</p><p>• Utilize ADP Workforce Now and ATS systems to streamline HR processes effectively.</p><p>• Ensure adherence to FMLA policies and procedures while supporting employee needs.</p>
• Proven experience in human resources roles, preferably as an HR Generalist.<br>• Proficiency in using ADP Workforce Now and ATS systems.<br>• Strong understanding of HR practices, including recruitment and onboarding.<br>• Familiarity with compliance standards and experience drafting thorough documentation.<br>• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for managing personnel files and paperwork.<br>• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information responsibly.<br>• Effective communication skills to engage with staff and support HR-related inquiries.<br>• Knowledge of FMLA policies and procedures is a plus.
