Robert Half is working with a great company located in Monroe, NC. They are looking to add a Staff Accountant to their team due to growth. The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with the month-end close process. This role works closely with the accounting team to ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Prepare and post journal entries</li><li>Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts</li><li>Assist with month-end and year-end close processes</li><li>Maintain and update financial records and schedules</li><li>Support accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed</li><li>Assist with audits by preparing documentation and reports</li><li>Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies</li><li>Ensure compliance with internal controls and procedures</li></ul>

<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Accounting or Finance or similar focus</li><li>1+ years of accounting experience preferred</li><li>Knowledge of GAAP</li><li>Proficiency in Excel and accounting software</li><li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills</li><li>Ability to meet deadlines and work independently</li></ul>
