Legal Assistant
<p>We are looking for a detail-oriented IP Legal Assistant to join our team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this role, you will provide essential support to attorneys in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of daily operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to managing tasks and deadlines.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Assist with patent and trademark prosecution processes, including drafting correspondence and maintaining accurate files.</p><p>• Monitor and manage daily dockets to ensure all deadlines are tracked and addressed promptly.</p><p>• Perform administrative tasks such as entering time records, coordinating travel arrangements, processing expense reports, and managing client billing.</p><p>• Conduct thorough reviews of legal filings and documents to ensure precision and compliance with quality standards.</p><p>• Maintain organized paper and electronic legal files to support streamlined access and workflow.</p><p>• Collaborate effectively with attorneys and team members to meet client needs and achieve departmental goals.</p><p>• Proactively identify and solve problems to enhance operational efficiency.</p>
<ul><li>2+ years of experience as a legal assistant, preferably in intellectual property (patent and trademark prosecution)</li><li>Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with attorneys and clients.</li><li>High attention to detail and ability to review documents for accuracy.</li><li>Proven problem-solving skills and ability to take initiative in task management.</li><li>Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred; Paralegal certificate or IP-related coursework strongly encouraged.</li></ul>
