Employment Counsel
<p>We are looking for an experienced Employment Attorney to support our client on a contract basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage in diverse aspects of employment law, including policy development and statutory research. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of U.S. employment regulations and be well-versed in state-specific leave laws.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on employment laws across all 50 states, with a focus on leave of absence regulations.</p><p>• Participate actively in weekly meetings with HR and business leaders.</p><p>• Draft and review separation agreements and triage escalated employee relations issues.</p><p>• Support the organization in navigating regulatory updates and ensuring compliance.</p>
• Extensive knowledge of U.S. employment law, including leave of absence regulations.<br>• Proven experience in legal research and policy development.<br>• Familiarity with California employment law is highly preferred.<br>• Ability to draft and negotiate legal documents, such as separation agreements.<br>• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in interpreting complex legal issues.<br>• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to interact with various stakeholders.<br>• Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.<br>• Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active law license in the United States.
