We are looking for a detail-oriented Cash Application Specialist to join our team in Mendota Heights, Minnesota. In this long-term contract position, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and efficient processing of customer payments. This opportunity is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and the ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Process high volumes of customer payments, including checks, cash, and credit card transactions, ensuring all entries are accurate and balanced.<br>• Utilize scanned images and payment documentation to input customer numbers, invoice details, and payment amounts into the system.<br>• Apply payments to outstanding balances, ensuring a zero balance is achieved for each transaction.<br>• Handle repetitive tasks with precision and consistency, maintaining focus and efficiency throughout the day.<br>• Manage daily workloads involving hundreds of transactions, meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.<br>• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and address any discrepancies in payment application.<br>• Operate ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP to process and track cash applications.<br>• Utilize 10-key typing skills to efficiently input payment data and maintain accuracy.<br>• Monitor unapplied checks and resolve issues promptly to maintain up-to-date records.<br>• Assist in streamlining processes to improve efficiency and reduce processing time.

• Proven experience in cash application or accounts receivable roles.<br>• Proficiency in ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP.<br>• Strong data entry skills, including expertise with 10-key typing.<br>• Familiarity with accounting principles and practices.<br>• Ability to handle large volumes of transactions accurately and efficiently.<br>• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data organization and analysis.<br>• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.<br>• Ability to work independently and hit the ground running with minimal training.
