We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Purchasing Agent to join our team in Memphis, Tennessee. This Contract to permanent position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and has a strong background in supply chain coordination and purchasing. You will play a pivotal role in managing procurement processes for multiple ongoing projects while collaborating with various teams to ensure seamless operations.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Oversee procurement for multiple active projects, managing the process from order placement to delivery.<br>• Analyze pricing structures, discounts, and margins to ensure accurate and competitive quotes for customers.<br>• Utilize Excel to track large-scale projects with basic formulas while effectively handling smaller requests without formal tracking.<br>• Collaborate with engineering and sales teams to gather and price quotes for project bids.<br>• Monitor supply and demand trends, ensuring timely ordering of materials and supervising the entire procurement cycle.<br>• Maintain organized records and workflows to ensure all purchasing activities are completed efficiently and accurately.<br>• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to optimize supply chain performance.<br>• Respond promptly to high-volume purchasing requests, prioritizing tasks effectively to meet deadlines.<br>• Ensure compliance with company policies and standards throughout all procurement processes.
