Family Services Support - Contract
<p><strong>Family Services Support</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p><p>The Family Services Support role assists families enrolled in programs by providing guidance, administrative support, and resources related to child care services, eligibility, and Head Start/Early Head Start requirements. This role ensures families receive high-quality customer service and helps maintain compliance with program standards. Work may take place at the Los Angeles headquarters (90056) or at various Head Start locations.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Family Support & Customer Service</strong></p><ul><li>Serve as the first point of contact for families seeking assistance with child care services, enrollment, or program eligibility.</li><li>Provide consistent, friendly, and professional customer service to families in person, via phone, and by email.</li><li>Assist families with completing applications, documentation, and required forms for services.</li><li>Guide parents through Head Start/Early Head Start requirements, including attendance, documentation, and supportive services.</li></ul><p><strong>Administrative & Compliance Support</strong></p><ul><li>Collect, verify, and process family documents in accordance with Crystal Stairs, CDE, and federal Head Start guidelines.</li><li>Maintain accurate and confidential files, case notes, and electronic records in agency databases.</li><li>Assist Family Advocates and Program Managers with monitoring deadlines, tracking records, and preparing compliance reports.</li><li>Support the coordination of meetings, orientations, parent workshops, and community events.</li></ul><p><strong>Program Coordination</strong></p><ul><li>Help ensure families are connected to internal and external resources, including child development services, health screenings, and community support programs.</li><li>Collaborate with teachers, Family Advocates, and site leadership to support family engagement activities.</li><li>Provide coverage and support at various Head Start sites as needed.</li></ul><p><strong>General Office Support</strong></p><ul><li>Perform data entry, scanning, filing, and other clerical tasks to support program operations.</li><li>Monitor attendance reporting, follow up on missing documents, and support daily site needs.</li><li>Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a positive experience for participating families.</li></ul><p><br></p>
<p>• Proven experience working with children in early childhood education or family services settings.</p><p>• Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in early education.</p><p>• Ability to build culturally responsive and trusting relationships with families and childcare providers.</p><p> </p>
