We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead a critical modernization and cloud migration initiative. This position involves overseeing the transition of legacy systems to a cloud-first model while ensuring smooth operations and compatibility across applications and databases. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in managing complex IT projects and guiding teams through cloud migration efforts with a focus on Microsoft Azure. Responsibilities:• Manage and oversee the modernization of legacy systems and applications, ensuring all tasks are completed on schedule and align with organizational priorities.• Lead coordination across multiple teams, including database engineers, Linux specialists, Azure architects, and internal stakeholders, to maintain project consistency and resolve dependencies.• Identify and mitigate potential risks related to system stability, code compatibility, and migration challenges.• Provide regular updates to leadership, including status reporting, budget management, and milestone tracking, to ensure project transparency.• Facilitate weekly status calls with senior leadership to review project documentation and contractor timesheets.• Drive efforts to optimize cloud storage solutions for extensive image data, ensuring compatibility with Azure and other applications.• Guide the design and implementation of a robust Azure foundation, supporting a seamless transition to cloud-first operations.• Streamline workflows and reduce bottlenecks to ensure the project's success while maintaining alignment with strategic goals.• Monitor and stabilize custom services, such as image generation, alerts, and thumbnails, during the modernization process.• Consolidate legacy workloads while preparing applications and databases for full cloud migration.

• Proven experience managing IT projects, including cloud migration and system modernization. • Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure and its foundational components. • Certification in PMP and familiarity with Agile Scrum methodologies. • Demonstrated ability to develop comprehensive project plans and oversee their execution. • Expertise in coordinating cross-functional teams and managing project dependencies. • Solid knowledge of database systems, including PostgreSQL, and Linux environments. • Exceptional communication skills for reporting progress and engaging with stakeholders. • Ability to identify and address risks proactively to ensure project stability and success.
