We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Houston, Texas. The ideal candidate will excel in managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and supporting key accounting functions. This role requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills and a commitment to maintaining compliance with accounting standards. Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage the month-end closing process to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts, ensuring all entries are accurate and complete. • Prepare, review, and post journal entries while ensuring compliance with established accounting practices. • Conduct account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial data and resolve discrepancies. • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between bank statements and internal records. • Assist in preparing financial statements and reports, providing insights into the organization's financial health. • Collaborate with internal teams to support audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. • Utilize Yardi software to manage and streamline accounting processes efficiently. • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices within the accounting function.

• Proven experience in accounting, with a strong focus on month-end close and general ledger management. • Proficiency in preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations. • Experience with bank reconciliations and ensuring accuracy in financial records. • Demonstrated expertise in using Yardi or similar accounting software. • Strong understanding of accounting principles and compliance requirements. • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
