Discovery Attorney
We are looking for a highly skilled Discovery Attorney to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Houston, Texas. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in legal discovery processes and possess a solid foundation in commercial litigation and construction law. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to complex legal matters while leveraging your analytical and drafting skills.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Manage discovery processes, including drafting and responding to discovery requests and responses.<br>• Prepare and draft legal pleadings, motions, and briefs with precision and attention to detail.<br>• Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and arguments.<br>• Collaborate with the legal team to analyze and interpret complex legal issues related to commercial litigation and construction law.<br>• Review and organize case files to ensure all relevant information is accurately documented.<br>• Provide strategic recommendations regarding discovery procedures and case development.<br>• Work closely with clients and external parties to gather necessary documentation and information.<br>• Ensure compliance with legal standards and deadlines in all discovery-related tasks.<br>• Advise on construction law matters, offering insights into applicable regulations and precedents.<br>• Assist in preparing for hearings, mediations, and other legal proceedings.
• Must be a licensed attorney with active bar membership.<br>• Strong experience in drafting motions, briefs, and other legal documents.<br>• Proficiency in handling discovery processes, including requests and responses.<br>• In-depth knowledge of commercial litigation and construction law.<br>• Excellent analytical and research skills to address complex legal issues.<br>• Ability to prepare precise and effective pleadings and motions.<br>• Strong organizational skills to manage case files and meet deadlines.<br>• Effective communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
