We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team in Great Neck, New York, on a 1-3 month contract basis. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the successful implementation and management of a unified payroll system across multiple offices. The ideal candidate will excel in handling complex payroll tasks, ensuring data accuracy, and collaborating with various departments to streamline operations. Responsibilities:• Spearhead or Assist in the implementation and rollout of a standardized payroll system across multiple offices.• Oversee the conversion, testing, and validation of payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance.• Audit employee data, earnings codes, and deductions to identify and correct discrepancies.• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT teams to align payroll processes with organizational needs.• Document existing payroll workflows and propose enhancements to improve efficiency.• Conduct parallel payroll runs to verify the accuracy of the new system prior to full implementation.• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, configuration issues, and data errors.• Provide training and guidance to office staff on updated payroll procedures and system functionalities.• Ensure compliance with multi-state payroll regulations, taxes, and reporting requirements.

• At least 3 years of payroll experience, including involvement in system implementations or migrations. • Proficiency in payroll systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Dayforce, or similar platforms. • Solid understanding of multi-state payroll processing, tax regulations, and compliance standards. • Advanced skills in Excel, including data imports, VLOOKUPs, and reconciliation processes. • Experience working in healthcare, medical offices, or detail-oriented environments is a plus. • Strong attention to detail with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. • Ability to thrive in a project-driven and deadline-oriented environment. • Familiarity with payroll for large organizations handling over 500 employees.
