Payroll Specialist
<p>We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team in Great Neck, New York, on a 1-3 month contract basis. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the successful implementation and management of a unified payroll system across multiple offices. The ideal candidate will excel in handling complex payroll tasks, ensuring data accuracy, and collaborating with various departments to streamline operations.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Spearhead or Assist in the implementation and rollout of a standardized payroll system across multiple offices.</p><p>• Oversee the conversion, testing, and validation of payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance.</p><p>• Audit employee data, earnings codes, and deductions to identify and correct discrepancies.</p><p>• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT teams to align payroll processes with organizational needs.</p><p>• Document existing payroll workflows and propose enhancements to improve efficiency.</p><p>• Conduct parallel payroll runs to verify the accuracy of the new system prior to full implementation.</p><p>• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, configuration issues, and data errors.</p><p>• Provide training and guidance to office staff on updated payroll procedures and system functionalities.</p><p>• Ensure compliance with multi-state payroll regulations, taxes, and reporting requirements.</p>
• At least 3 years of payroll experience, including involvement in system implementations or migrations.<br>• Proficiency in payroll systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Dayforce, or similar platforms.<br>• Solid understanding of multi-state payroll processing, tax regulations, and compliance standards.<br>• Advanced skills in Excel, including data imports, VLOOKUPs, and reconciliation processes.<br>• Experience working in healthcare, medical offices, or detail-oriented environments is a plus.<br>• Strong attention to detail with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.<br>• Ability to thrive in a project-driven and deadline-oriented environment.<br>• Familiarity with payroll for large organizations handling over 500 employees.
