We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with extensive experience in accounting and proficiency in QuickBooks Online. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing financial records and ensuring compliance with corporate tax regulations. Responsibilities: • Maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries and general ledger accounts. • Prepare and file corporate tax returns in compliance with applicable laws. • Oversee sales tax filings and ensure timely submissions. • Utilize QuickBooks Online to manage accounting tasks effectively. • Conduct regular reconciliations of accounts to ensure data accuracy. • Collaborate with team members to address financial discrepancies or challenges. • Support the preparation of financial reports for management review. • Provide training on accounting processes as needed. • Ensure adherence to all relevant tax and financial regulations.

• Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar accounting role. • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is required. • Strong knowledge of corporate tax regulations and sales tax filings. • Ability to perform journal entries and general ledger management accurately. • Solid understanding of financial reporting and reconciliation processes. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
