Staff Accountant
<p>We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Eugene, Oregon. This position focuses on streamlining accounting processes, ensuring accurate financial management, and supporting property management operations. If you have expertise in property management accounting, this role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a short-term project.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Assess current accounting practices and identify areas for improvement within property management operations.</p><p>• Develop and implement effective procedures to enhance the use of the ERP system</p><p>• Provide training and guidance to existing staff, including the bookkeeper, to improve operational efficiency.</p><p>• Manage journal entries and maintain the general ledger to ensure accurate financial records.</p><p>• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure the timely resolution of discrepancies.</p><p>• Oversee accounting for rental properties, including preparation of financial reports.</p><p>• Utilize Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and data management.</p><p>• Collaborate with the owner and other team members to align accounting processes with business goals.</p><p>• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations throughout all processes.</p>
<p>• Proven experience as a Staff Accountant, particularly in property management accounting.</p><p>• Proficiency in ERP software and its application in accounting workflows.</p><p>• Strong knowledge of journal entries and general ledger management.</p><p>• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.</p><p>• Familiarity with bank reconciliations and resolving financial discrepancies.</p><p>• Experience in accounting for rental properties and preparing financial statements.</p><p>• Ability to create and implement accounting processes and procedures.</p><p>• Excellent communication and training skills to support staff development.</p>
