Project Accountant - Quickbooks
We are looking for an experienced Project Accountant with expertise in QuickBooks to join our team on a contract basis. This position is based in Des Moines, Iowa, and will require you to work on-site. In this role, you will focus on enhancing and customizing QuickBooks functionalities to meet organizational needs while ensuring seamless financial operations.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Customize QuickBooks to meet specific organizational requirements, including creating tailored entry fields for donations and receipts.<br>• Develop and implement 4–6 new financial reports using custom data fields.<br>• Collaborate closely with internal team members to understand existing customizations and maintain their functionality.<br>• Convert current custom entry screens into QuickBooks while preserving essential configurations.<br>• Ensure proper setup and maintenance of over 40 individual books hosted on internal servers.<br>• Lead demonstrations to align technical solutions with long-term organizational goals.<br>• Assist in updating and refining the QuickBooks manual for training and reference purposes.<br>• Provide expert guidance on QuickBooks 2024 and older versions as needed.<br>• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to QuickBooks performance and integrations.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with QuickBooks, including advanced knowledge of QuickBooks 2024.<br>• Proficiency in accounting operations, account coding, and account creation.<br>• Strong understanding of accounting procedures and software systems.<br>• QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification is highly desirable.<br>• Experience customizing and supporting accounting software configurations.<br>• Ability to work collaboratively with teams and communicate effectively.<br>• Familiarity with creating and maintaining financial reports.<br>• Detail-oriented and capable of managing complex financial data across multiple systems.
