We are seeking a skilled Attorney with 2 to 5+ years of experience to join our team on a contract basis in Council Bluffs, Iowa. This position provides the opportunity to work on engaging cases in Worker’s Compensation and Civil Litigation, with guidance from experienced attorneys. If you excel in a fast-paced, intellectually stimulating environment and enjoy litigation, this is an excellent chance to advance your legal career. <br> Responsibilities: • Work closely with experienced attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to develop case strategies and manage legal workflows. • Prepare for trials by organizing evidence, drafting documents, and creating presentations alongside senior litigation attorneys. • Conduct depositions, mediations, and conferences with claimants and judges, and represent clients during court appearances. • Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, findings of fact, and opinions. • Effectively manage multiple cases, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment. • Provide legal counsel and negotiate settlements in both state and federal court settings. • Research and analyze applicable laws and procedures to ensure accurate and effective case representation. • Collaborate with corporate professionals to address legal concerns and support organizational objectives. <br> The salary range for this position is $55 to $65. • Minimum of two to five years of experience practicing law, with a focus on litigation.<br>• Comprehensive understanding of state and federal laws, along with procedural knowledge.<br>• Exceptional written and oral communication skills to convey legal arguments effectively.<br>• Proven ability to manage large caseloads and balance multiple priorities efficiently.<br>• Strong negotiation skills to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.<br>• Demonstrated analytical skills to assess legal issues and develop strategic solutions.<br>• Active law license in at least one state, with eligibility to obtain additional state licenses.<br>• A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
