Loyola University Chicago School of Law Chicago is seeking a contract permanent Staff Attorney for a 9-month or 12-month contract. All staff in the School of Law report to the Associate Dean for Administration. The contract Staff Attorney also has accountability to the Center Director. Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following:  Supervision of student work product in the Clinic. The student legal work includes assisting businesses seeking legal assistance with forming and incorporating business structures, such as not-for-profit and for-profit entities; navigating registrations with agencies such as the Illinois Attorney General, Illinois Department of Revenue and the Internal Revenue Service; drafting a variety of business contracts; consultation and research on select intellectual property matters, including state trademarks and federal copyrights.  Assist the Director on developing, engaging and maintaining collaborations within the University, the surrounding community, leading workshops, writing grant proposals; and  Service to the School of Law, University, and community. Required Qualifications: J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school; admission to practice of law and good standing in the state of Illinois; legal practice experience in transactional and intellectual property law; strong commitment to social and economic justice issues; and some law teaching experience. Preferred qualifications: At least five years of significant experience in the practice of law and experience teaching and supervising students in a law school clinic. Experience with diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts in a law school or legal practice strongly preferred. <br> The pay range for this position is 45 to 55.
