We are looking for an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our team on a contract basis in Chicago, Illinois. This role requires someone with expertise in civil litigation, trial preparation, and case management. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of municipal laws and personal injury litigation while demonstrating strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Responsibilities:• Assist attorneys with litigation processes, including municipal court cases and personal injury matters.• Prepare and file legal documents, such as complaints and motions, with county and sheriff offices.• Conduct discovery processes, ensuring thorough documentation and analysis of relevant case details.• Coordinate trial preparation activities, including assembling exhibits and organizing case files.• Manage case information using case management software to ensure accuracy and accessibility.• Research and interpret municipal laws to support legal proceedings.• Communicate effectively with court personnel and other stakeholders to ensure smooth case progression.• Monitor deadlines and maintain schedules for filings and court appearances.• Provide administrative support to attorneys, including drafting correspondence and maintaining records.• Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve workflow efficiency.
