Embedded Developer
We are looking for a skilled Embedded Developer to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role involves creating and integrating firmware and embedded Linux software for advanced computer systems. Based in Bloomington, Minnesota, you will work closely with hardware teams and contribute to developing systems-level programming solutions.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Design and implement firmware and embedded software for high-performance computer systems running Linux.<br>• Analyze and develop data flow diagrams to facilitate system coordination.<br>• Create firmware-level executables to manage hardware components effectively.<br>• Collaborate with hardware teams on board bring-up and system integration processes.<br>• Work directly with machine-level systems to ensure seamless functionality.<br>• Utilize programming languages such as Rust, C, and C++ for systems development.<br>• Support the initialization and management of custom circuit boards, trays, and chassis.<br>• Optimize embedded Linux integration for efficient system performance.<br>• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to low-level hardware coordination.<br>• Develop solutions that align with system architecture requirements.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems programming or embedded development.<br>• Proficiency in Rust programming; expertise in C/C++ is also acceptable.<br>• Strong knowledge of embedded systems and low-level hardware coordination.<br>• Hands-on experience with firmware development and board-level bring-up.<br>• Familiarity with integrating Linux on embedded platforms.<br>• Ability to work with machine-level systems without focusing on cloud or application-level development.<br>• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.<br>• Effective communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
