We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Belleville, Illinois. This is a long-term contract position within the manufacturing industry, offering a great opportunity to contribute to the financial health and efficiency of our operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in accounting processes and a proactive approach to maintaining accurate financial records. Responsibilities: • Prepare and manage month-end closing procedures to ensure accurate and timely reporting. • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure all accounts are balanced and discrepancies are resolved. • Handle journal entries with precision, documenting financial transactions effectively. • Perform account reconciliations to confirm the accuracy of financial data and resolve any variances. • Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between company records and bank statements. • Oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payment of obligations. • Manage accounts receivable operations, including tracking payments and resolving outstanding invoices. • Collaborate with internal teams to support financial audits and compliance requirements. • Analyze financial data to identify trends and support decision-making processes. • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

• Proven experience in month-end close processes and financial reporting. • Strong knowledge of general ledger management and reconciliation. • Expertise in preparing and processing journal entries. • Demonstrated ability to perform account and bank reconciliations. • Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable operations. • Proficiency in accounting software and tools. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
