This working manager role will lead regional accounting operations, partner with dispatch and corporate teams to ensure accurate reporting, and drive process improvements across AP, AR, and financial reporting.</p><p><br></p><p>For immediate and confidential consideration, reach out to Tammy Power via LinkedIn</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Serve as a hands-on working manager, directly overseeing regional accounting operations while mentoring and developing team members.</li><li>Take ownership and partner with corporate accounting to standardize data, improve accuracy, and enhance reporting visibility.</li><li>Lead the full accounts payable function: design and implement efficient processes, resolve legacy issues, ensure timely vendor payments, and oversee complete AP clean-up.</li><li>Drive improvements across accounts receivable, including invoicing accuracy, collections strategy, credit monitoring, and reconciliation of outstanding balances.</li><li>Oversee cash management and bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and clear documentation for both internal and external stakeholders.</li><li>Prepare and analyze monthly income statements, balance sheets, and management write-ups, ensuring timely delivery of clear, actionable financial reporting.</li><li>Produce and maintain a comprehensive balance sheet reconciliation workbook, highlighting variances and ensuring all accounts are reconciled.</li><li>Act as the primary financial liaison to the Operational Manager: review results, explain key drivers, and prepare leadership for management and board-level meetings.</li><li>Develop and document robust internal controls, policies, and procedures, ensuring consistency across all regional operations.</li><li>Lead the preparation and coordination of audit activities, including compiling documentation, preparing schedules, and addressing auditor inquiries.</li><li>Provide strategic insights to corporate leadership by identifying trends, recommending process improvements, and supporting operational decision-making with accurate financial data.</li></ul><p><strong>Attributes for Success:</strong></p><ul><li>Hands-on leader who thrives in a working manager role.</li><li>Process-focused, detail-oriented, and improvement-minded.</li><li>Confident in presenting and explaining financial results to operational and senior management.</li><li>Adaptable to the fast-paced and evolving logistics environment.</li></ul><p><strong>Contact Tammy Power via LinkedIn for immediate and confidential consideration.</strong></p>

<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA preferred.</li><li>5+ years of progressive accounting or controllership experience, ideally in logistics, transportation, or related industries.</li><li>Solid knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.</li><li>Hands-on experience in AP/AR, reconciliations, and financial reporting.</li><li>Proven track record of streamlining processes and documenting procedures.</li><li>Strong communication and collaboration skills with both corporate and operations.</li></ul><p><br></p>
