We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Auburn Hills, Michigan. This role focuses on managing corporate costs and expenses, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting month-end close processes. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in accounting fundamentals and contribute to maintaining financial integrity. Responsibilities: • Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate accounting records. • Conduct thorough account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial statements. • Manage month-end close activities, including reviewing and validating financial data. • Perform detailed bank reconciliations to align cash balances with recorded transactions. • Analyze and report on corporate expenses to ensure proper cost allocation. • Monitor the general ledger and ensure all transactions are properly recorded. • Support compliance with accounting standards and internal policies. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address financial queries and provide insights. • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency. • Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

• Proven experience in month-end close activities. • Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting. • Proficiency in preparing journal entries and account reconciliations. • Familiarity with bank reconciliation processes. • Ability to analyze and manage corporate cost structures. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Strong communication and collaboration abilities. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.
