IT Audit Manager in Bakersfield, CA

IT Audit Manager Job Description

IT auditors must have broad knowledge of the technical infrastructure and architecture of computer systems, as well as exposure to a variety of platforms, such as operating systems, networks, databases and ERP systems. These professionals must possess excellent interpersonal skills, including communication, presentation and leadership abilities. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, finance or a similar field. A master’s degree in these fields is preferred. A professional certification such as a CIA, CPA or CISA also may be required. A minimum of five years of public accounting or IT auditing experience is expected, as well.

Testing and evaluating IT systems and controls for conformity with industry standards of efficiency, accuracy and securityProviding independent verification of compliance with statutory requirements and similar regulationsPresenting written findings and recommendations to senior managementMaking recommendations for systems operations and process improvementDeveloping risk-based audit plansProviding support to audit staff and assistance on IT matters related to financial audit engagementsHiring, training and supervising IT audit staff
