Calling All Job Seekers: Check Out These Projected Hot Jobs for 2015

Great news: The overall unemployment rate in Philadelphia is 6.6 percent. And there are in-demand job positions where the unemployment rate is even lower. We asked local Robert Half experts to tell us about the hottest positions in Philadelphia right now. Here’s what they said:

The legal industry: “Patent law is hot and growing,” says Natasha Van Der Griendt, division director for Robert Half Legal. “There is an increase in patent attorney hiring, and top talent to support them is in high demand. Additionally, litigation paralegals who are technically savvy are in increasing demand as firms continue to expand their IT departments and incorporate more eDiscovery methods and practices into their firms.”

Finance and accounting: “Individuals with ADP experience are in high demand in the Philly area,” says Benjamin York, division director for Accountemps. That means everything from data entry payroll clerks up to payroll managers.

Administrative jobs: “Human resources specialists and customer service representatives are the administrative jobs to watch for,” says Olivia Anderson, division director for OfficeTeam. “Companies are finally out of the hole from the economic crash and are hiring more job seekers today in these positions.”

The creative field: “Companies in Philadelphia are still looking to make updates to interactive assets, websites, mobile, and iPad, so they need assistance with interactive designers, copywriters and responsive designers,” says Ginger Kochmer, division director for The Creative Group.
