Private investment firm is seeking a Procurement Analyst on a long-term contract basis available for immediate placement through Robert Half Management Resources. The Procurement Analyst will play a critical role in transitioning Procurement responsibilities of the Operating Company(s) to the investment firm; which involves multiple systems, processes and individuals. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be required. The Procurement Analyst will serve as the subject matter expert, working directly with suppliers, internal customers and the new Procurement/Disbursements leader other internal constituents as needed. It will be necessary to quickly learn the business, suppliers, systems and processes currently used to support the business; throughout the transition sharing transferring knowledge. The Procurement Analyst will also perform day to day procurement support. Furthermore, the Procurement Analyst will share best practice experiences, document policies procedures and advise/recommend any immediate need for change.

Requirements :

Proven Expert in Procurement best practices with 5-10 years procurement experience, to include:
• Sourcing
• Contract management negotiation
• Buying / Order Placement
• Automated Purchasing Systems (preferably a couple different ones) / ERP’s
o Requisition/PO creation/Approval/Catalog Base Data Management
• Spend Analytics Supplier Research
• 3-Way Match/Invoice issue resolution
• Analytical thinking and problem solving
• Progressive experience up to managerial position strongly preferred
• Development of policies and procedures that support reduced costs, while increasing efficiency and controls
• Centralized Purchasing / Shared Services strongly preferred
Qualifications Competencies
• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
• 5-10 years progressive experience
• Excellent communication interpersonal skills
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Adaptable, fast learner
• Negotiation skills
• Results oriented
• Ability to work independently
• Advanced Excel skills
• Expert in procurement best practices
• Experience in the linens or medical industry a plus
• Change management ability to adapt to changing conditions in a fast paced environment
