A Santa Cruz County Company is looking for a Contracts Specialist to join their team! Contract Specialist must have 2+ years of contracts administration experience. Contract experience with a health services or government assistance program is preferred.

Fulfills contract requests through independent management of the contracting workflow to ensure legal and regulatory compliance of contracts while meeting deadlines, with duties including but not limited to:
•Ensuring complete and accurate contract information is received from requestor to ensure compliant document preparation;
•Conducting necessary research and analysis to ensure appropriate document is prepared, applicable attachments are included and all terms and conditions are applicable;
•Preparing accurate and complete contracts or amendments pursuant to requests and effectively communicating any barriers or challenges to contract preparation; and
•Ensuring contract is appropriately documented in reference/tracking tools and/or systems.

Administrative Contracts Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
•Negotiating within broad departmental guidelines any specific provisions for contract or amendment;
•Assessing and evaluating risk and liability when negotiating agreements and when needed informing and advising appropriate staff;
•Continuously updating contract templates, playbooks and policies to conform to new laws and regulations.

Requirements :

2 years of experience with managed care or administrative contracting, health services or government assistance programs;
Bachelor's degree required; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide required knowledge, skills, and ability.
