Everyone in the legal profession can benefit from attending legal forums and conferences, whether you’re a legal secretary, paralegal, new associate, or partner. Not only do these events offer valuable CLE workshops and seminars full of career advice, but they also provide numerous networking opportunities to participants. Fortunately, there is a wide array of conferences available to legal professionals each and every year.
A legal conference is an ideal venue to meet with peers, learn from industry leaders and discuss current issues.
Here are six conferences you may want to consider attending in 2015:
1. Annual NFPA Joint Conference (May 1-3, Portland, OR)
The annual NFPA (National Federation of Paralegal Associations) Joint Conference is one of the most popular gatherings for paralegal professionals with a broad range of skills, experience and education. Hosted by the Oregon Paralegal Association, the 2015 conference will be held at the Standard Insurance Center in downtown Portland. This year, social events are scheduled on Friday and Saturday evenings for conference attendees, special guests and local members who want to meet and network with national representatives and leaders.
2. MCCA General Counsel Summit (May 6-9, Palm Beach Gardens, FL)
The MCCA (Minority Corporate Counsel Association) hosts this four-day annual event, which offers a range of educational sessions focused on leadership, diversity and other issues important to in-house counsel. The conference also provides networking and recreational opportunities for in-house corporate lawyers, including the General Counsel Summit charity golf tournament. The 2015 Summit will be held at the PGA National Resort & Spa in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
3. ALA’s 2015 Annual Conference & Expo (May 17-20, Nashville, TN)
