Join a team of highly skilled, motivated professionals as an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk through this opportunity offered by Accountemps. In this position, you will be required to manage all general administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department. You will work closely and report to the Accounts Payable Manager. The essential functions of this role will include matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are primary areas of focus. This Accounts Payable Clerk opportunity will be located in the Wethersfield, Connecticut area and will be a long-term temporary-to-full-time position.

Your responsibilities
- Sort, register, scan, and store invoices, checks, and other documents
- Provide customer service to internal business partners
- Perform daily processes and controls correctly and punctually, ensuring company policies are followed
- Manage the process of verifying, logging, and mailing checks, including expediting special handling
- Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it
- Provide internal and external audit assistance as required
- Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department
- Complete special projects on an as-needed basis
- Implement full-cycle A/P

Requirements
- Accounts payable experience desired

- PeopleSoft Enterprise Application experience preferred

- 2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable

- Skilled with ERP systems

- Command of Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills

- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field

- Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
