Accountemps has partnered with a reputable firm to find an experienced Inventory Clerk to join their team. In this role, you will be tasked with completing and overseeing thorough clerical duties related to taking and maintaining inventories of supplies and equipment under general supervision. As the Inventory Clerk, you must possess effective communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to multitask. While this is an entry-level position, you will have minimal supervision and will need to demonstrate astute attention to detail, focus and drive. A short term temporary-to-fulltime job opportunity, this desirable Inventory Clerk role is located in Tucson, Arizona.

How you will make an impact

- Administering top-notch customer service to internal business partners

- Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner; provide compliance with Company policies

- Oversee material received to determine irregularities, inspecting articles and rejecting defective ones

- Providing internal and external audit assistance, as required

- Collaborate with the Purchasing Manager and Inventory Analyst

- Primary responsibility is to count, classify, and maintain an extensive inventory of items

- Carry out special projects upon request

- Handle data entry responsibilities, prepare inventory records and reports, and study documentation discrepancies
Requirements
- Basic experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) preferred

- Candidates with an AA or BS/BA degree specializing in Accounting encouraged to apply

- Accustomed to handling logistics records concerned with quantity, cost, and type of material received, in stock, or issued

- Outstanding data entry skills

- Some inventory experience preferred

- Solid understanding of inventory

- Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast paced environment

- Strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well

- Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

- General understanding of Inventory Management Software desired
